Problem with people getting a message that your mailbox is full?

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? My understanding is that my mail goes through my web hosting account and gets forwarded to gmail. I've had people tell me that they've gotten a message that my mailbox is full and their email won't go through. I have tons of room on my gmail so I'm not sure what the problem could be...

Lisa ... I hope you got it figured out! I guess it is different based on who your host is? For pappa shop, you just click into the cpanel and delete in there, even if they are forwarded to a free email account. :)

I did...thanks to your advice! :) It was one .pdf file email that was taking up 85% of my space on godaddy. The sad thing was it was an email I had sent to myself...in Oct. 2007.
